Our Commitment
Garrett's Garage respects your privacy. This policy explains the information we collect through garrettsgarage.com, our customer accounts, appointment process, and related communications; why we use it; and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you create or update an account, request service, communicate with us, or use a website feature. This may include:
- Your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, and account identifiers.
- Vehicle year, make, model, trim, mileage, VIN, service history, requested work, symptoms, and notes.
- Appointment preferences, messages, estimates, approvals, and service records.
- A pickup address and estimated straight-line distance when pickup or delivery is requested.
- Photos, videos, documents, or door-sticker images you choose to upload or scan.
- Technical and usage information such as page views, referring page, browser, device type, approximate region, performance measurements, and interactions such as appointment, call, text, or email clicks.
If you sign in with Google, we receive basic account details Google makes available, such as your name, email address, and provider identifier. We do not receive your Google password. We do not collect payment-card information through this website.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts; review and respond to appointment requests; identify vehicles; prepare estimates; coordinate service, pickup, and delivery; communicate about requested or completed work; maintain customer and service records; prevent spam, fraud, and misuse; improve website reliability and customer experience; and comply with legal, tax, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
If the separate completed-job publication box on the appointment form remains checked, we may also use vehicle or completed-work images and non-personally identifiable job details in our portfolio, website, or business marketing. We do not include names, contact details, VINs, license plates, pickup addresses, or other personally identifying information in a published completed job.
Service Providers And Disclosures
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate the business and provide requested services, including to website hosting and analytics providers, database and authentication providers, email providers, mapping and address-lookup providers, anti-abuse services, and professional advisers. Current website providers include Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Google sign-in, Geoapify, Cloudflare Turnstile, and government vehicle-information services used for VIN decoding.
We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect customers, the public, Garrett's Garage, or our rights; in connection with a business transfer; or with your direction or consent.
Analytics, Security, And Automated Checks
We use privacy-focused traffic and performance measurements to understand how public pages work. We also record limited conversion events, such as an appointment submission or a click to call, without placing the form contents, contact details, VIN, or repair description in those event records. Cloudflare Turnstile may process device and network signals needed to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. More detail is available in our Cookie Policy.
Retention And Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain accurate vehicle and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect against fraud. Retention periods vary by the type of record. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending information we have not requested, such as Social Security numbers or payment-card details.
Your Choices And Privacy Requests
You may update account and vehicle information through your account page. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to explain how it has been used or disclosed. Depending on applicable law, additional rights may be available. Some information may be retained when needed for service records, security, legal compliance, or another permitted purpose.
The completed-job publication box is checked by default, but it is optional and separate from acceptance of the website and appointment terms. You may uncheck it when requesting service or contact us later to withdraw permission for future use.
You may opt out of nonessential promotional email by using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or contacting us. We may still send account, security, appointment, and service-related communications.
Children, External Services, And Changes
The website is intended for people who can lawfully request vehicle service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Links to third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above will show when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated through the website or another appropriate method.
