Regular
Maintenance.
Care that counts.

Keep everyday service on track with Garrett’s Garage. We focus on Honda and Acura vehicles and also welcome other makes for routine maintenance, subject to the requested work and appointment availability.

Serving Hollywood and Southern Maryland. Every appointment is confirmed after review.

Everyday care.
Long-term value.

Maintenance replaces consumable items and checks components before a problem becomes a breakdown. Oil, filters, fluids, spark plugs, and inspection needs vary with the engine, age, mileage, and operating conditions. An individual service should fit the vehicle rather than a one-size-fits-all package.

Follow the manufacturer’s schedule or applicable Maintenance Minder instructions, along with time-based requirements. Tell us what has already been completed so we can review what is due. A maintenance reminder is different from a warning light or new symptom that needs diagnosis.

When is it time for service?

Scheduled maintenance should not depend on waiting for a symptom. These are useful reasons to review your vehicle’s service needs.

01

A service reminder is displayed

Record the full reminder or subcodes and compare them with the vehicle’s instructions and service records. An oil-life display does not measure every maintenance item.

02

Age or mileage reaches a service point

Some items have time-based requirements even when you drive relatively little. The correct interval depends on the exact vehicle and conditions.

03

Records are incomplete

A recently purchased vehicle or missing receipts can leave uncertainty about what was done. Review the history before assuming a service is current.

04

A change appears between services

Leaks, noises, warning lights, or changing performance deserve attention. A routine oil change alone may not address an underlying fault.

Service reminders and warning lights mean different things. An oil-pressure warning, overheating, or another urgent warning needs immediate attention according to the owner’s manual. Do not wait for the next routine maintenance appointment.

Routine service.
Matched to your vehicle.

The requested maintenance is reviewed for the exact vehicle. Common areas include:

  • Engine oil and filterUse the correct oil specification, quantity, and filter, with a service interval appropriate to the vehicle.
  • Engine air and cabin filtersThese serve different purposes: air for the engine and air entering the cabin. Their condition and schedule guide replacement.
  • Spark plugs and scheduled checksUse the engine’s specified components and intervals. Symptoms may require diagnosis instead of routine replacement alone.
  • Fluids and inspectionsReview applicable coolant, brake, transmission, and driveline-fluid requirements alongside inspections of visible wear and leaks.
  • Honda, Acura, and other makesOther makes are welcome for routine work such as oil changes and brakes. Contact us first about repairs or vehicle-specific service availability.
  • Questions about your vehicle?Send the year, make, model, mileage, and requested work. We’ll review them before confirming an appointment.

Schedule reference: Honda’s model-specific Maintenance Minder guidance. Always use the schedule and fluid specifications for your own model and year.

Plan the service.
Follow through.

A maintenance visit starts with what is actually due, with any new concerns discussed separately.

  1. Review the records

Share the year, make, model, mileage, reminder codes, and previous service history. Identify which scheduled items are due.

  2. Confirm the service

Agree on the work and the appropriate fluids, filters, or other parts. Mention symptoms so they can be assessed rather than overlooked.

  3. Complete and inspect

Perform the agreed maintenance and relevant checks. Findings outside the original request are discussed before additional work.

  4. Record the next steps

Document completed work and reset applicable reminders only for service performed. Explain upcoming needs based on the vehicle’s schedule.

Factory repair procedures and specifications vary by vehicle. Garrett's Garage uses the applicable service information for the exact vehicle and configuration. See the American Honda Service Information System for Honda's factory-authorized service-information program.

Focused experience.
Personal attention.

Garrett’s Garage brings Honda and Acura experience to routine care as well as engine repair. You can discuss service history, ask about recommended work, and plan maintenance around appointment availability.

We use OEM or OEM-equivalent parts and take the vehicle's exact configuration into account. You can share previous diagnostic information, ask questions about the proposed work, and discuss the findings before moving forward.

A few common questions.

Do you service makes other than Honda and Acura?

Yes, we accept other makes for routine maintenance such as oil changes and brakes. Contact us with the year, make, model, and requested work so availability and parts can be confirmed. More involved repairs require review first.

How often should I change my oil or other fluids?

Use the manufacturer’s requirements for the exact vehicle and your driving conditions. There is no single interval for every engine or fluid. Share your mileage, reminder codes, and history so we can review what is due.

Can you pick up and return my vehicle?

Pickup and drop-off are each $150 within 30 miles of the shop, subject to availability and confirmation. Request the option when contacting us; it is not guaranteed. Let us know if your vehicle cannot be driven safely.

What should I send with my request?

Include the year, make, model, engine if known, mileage, VIN, symptoms, and any diagnostic codes or prior inspection results. Appointment requests are reviewed before a date and time are confirmed.
